President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking during an official visit to Türkiye at the opening of the Turkmen-Turkish business forum in Ankara, proposed that Turkish partners create a Joint Transport and Logistics Centre.

According to the head of state, the transport and communications industry is one of the key and promising areas. The President of Turkmenistan noted that today the country is undergoing large-scale construction of new transport communications, road and railway crossings, and reconstruction of air and sea harbours.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed establishing regular working meetings in this area between transport departments, associations and companies of both countries.

«At the same time, we consider it expedient to create a Joint Transport and Logistics Centre with the participation of government specialized sectors and private transport and logistics companies to intensify cooperation, coordinated and well-coordinated work in this area», –said the President of Turkmenistan.
