In the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state, on the day when the whole country solemnly celebrates the Harvest Festival, cotton growers Balkan velayat were the first to fulfill contractual obligations on procurement of raw cotton. They collected and delivered to the harman of the Motherland more than 16 thousand tons of “white gold”.

Within the framework of those implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov consistently pursues a course of reforms for technical re-equipment of the agro-industrial complex, wide introduction of the latest technologies and agricultural techniques that contribute to increasing agricultural productivity. Full processing of cotton fiber at domestic enterprises is one of the strategic objectives of the textile industry, oriented towards export of finished products. As in others regions, in the Balkan velayat, equipped with modern equipment for a cotton ginning plant, cotton spinning and garment factories.

Achievement of Balkan cotton growers demonstrates success comprehensive capacity building measures implemented in the country agricultural industry and optimization of working conditions for farmers.

The current labor victory of the workers in the fields of the western region of the country, increasing the solemnity of the Harvest Festival celebrated in the glory of the fertile Turkmen land and symbolizing continuity of primordial farming traditions is the result tireless efforts of cotton growers, their daily care of crops with compliance with agrotechnical standards.
