The Ministry of Economy and Development announces another auction for privatization of state owned facilities

The Ministry of Economy and Development announced another privatization auction during denationalization of the economy and improvement of its efficiency and increase of private sector share. It is planned to sell totally 34 facilities in different regions of the country during the trades on January 31, 2017. These are facilities of the Ministry of Textile Industry, the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Relations, government shareholdings of the enterprises managed by the State Association of Food Industry of Turkmenistan, facilities under supervision of the State Concerns “Turkmengaz” and “Turkmenneftegazstroy” and number of other departments. Number of textile and sewing production enterprises are planned to be privatized. Traditionally, considerable part of the facilities will be comprised of the shops and sale stores, public service enterprises and unfinished constructions. The sale of the enterprises to private holders will bring considerable income to the state treasury. Starting price of number of large lots are millions of manats. Efficient management of these enterprises will enhance the production of export oriented and import substitutive goods.
