President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in existing good tradition, has visited an equestrian complex in the first days of this year. At the time of walking Akhal-Teke horses on the site of the complex, the head of state has received glad tidings – a foal was born. Of course, the birth of foals is always a great joy for horse-breeders, and it happens regularly. But the current event is symbolic in that it occurred in the first days of the New Year, which in Turkmenistan has been proclaimed to be the Year of health and inspiration. Therefore, it was decided to name the foal Ruhubelent (Inspiration). Above all this, the foal is of white color. And white is the color of purity and perfection. From ancient times it is endowed by Turkmens with the properties of divinity and holiness. People have a lot of phrases where white color determines the meaning of an entire phrase: ak ýol - white (light) road, ak öý - white house, etc. Yet another direct association with Akhal-Teke horse is a faithful companion of the brave Georogly – white stallion Gyrat. In this Turkmen heroic epic, the story of birth of the “winged horse” is associated with the predictions of divine elders. Mounted on “winged” Gyrat, defending his homeland, Georogly was invulnerable to enemy arrows and swords. Immortal image of national hero, flying on his white steed, has reached us though many centuries. Many and many generations have been brought up on this epic and today it has not lost its significance in terms of patriotic education of the Turkmen youth. Gyrat represents the world's best Akhal-Teke horse, which is the source of pride and heritage of the Turkmen people. ... The white foal named Ruhubelent will become big, strong, fast and beautiful, with chiseled article, as befits the representative of the Akhal-Teke breed, in two or three years, as for now, the baby keeps closely pressed against his mother, who does not leave it by a single step. Only to the gentle and caring hands of seyis does she trust her magnificent treasure. The pedigree of Ruhubelent goes back to the famous line of Perrin. The ancestors of this newborn stallion were noble horses. One of them - Akhal-Teke horse Polatly, is depicted in a monument on the highway leading to the International Equestrian Sports Complex. At the time, unparalleled in beauty and playfulness, dun Polatly has won numerous titles and prizes, performing in different countries and competing with outstanding horses, setting a record that remained inaccessible to horses of the planet for about three decades.
