President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented the Colours to new army divisions formed for improvement of the structure of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan. The Decree of establishment of the Colours of military divisions of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan was signed on January 9, what was informed during extended session of the State Security Council. At the same day, Central House of Officers and Military Institute of the Ministry of Defence hosted Colours Award ceremonies. The commanders and personnel of the military divisions, which received the Colours according to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as officers, ratings, cadets and students of military academies of the Ministry of Defence, gathered there. It was symbolical due to the coming 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan and Motherland Defender Day. This holiday was instituted by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan in 2008 and annually observed of January 27.
