Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left for a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In the morning, Hero-Arkadag was seen off by officials at the capital's International Airport.

As is known, the comprehensive strengthening of fruitful cooperation with the states of the planet and, first of all, with its closest neighbors, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, is one of the priority areas of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, laid down by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and now successfully implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The long-term bilateral partnership incorporates key areas and meets the national interests of both countries. The history of Turkmen-Iranian relations, rooted deep in centuries, has acquired new content at the present stage.
