Turkmen entrepreneurs doubled the production volume of food provision

By the results of 2016, production of agricultural and food products in private sector of Turkmen economy increased for 68 percent comparing with 2015. For example, the enterprises of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs produced 2.5 thousand tons of meat products (102.6 percent of income), 8.7 thousand tons of poultry (120.5 percent), 11 thousand tons of sausages (189 percent), 689.6 eggs (three times more), more than 30 thousand tons of confectionaries (125 percent). The largest growth was observed in production of canned food – more than 26.5 thousand cans, which is 22 times more and in vegetables and cucurbitaceous - more than 15 thousand tons, which increased in tree times more. 31 thousand tons of milk and dairy products, 19 thousand tons of bakery, 33 thousand tons of combined products, 300 tons of rice, 41.6 tons of fish, 23.6 thousand dekalitres of soft drinks were also produced.
