Today, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Having warmly greeted each other, Hero-Arkadag and the President of the Republic of Türkiye exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the holy holiday of Oraza, as well as wishes for the acceptance by the Almighty of fasts, prayers and good deeds performed in the bright days of the blessed month of Oraza.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan cordially congratulated Hero-Arkadag on the adoption for the third time by the UN General Assembly of the Resolution «Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan», noting that this significant achievement clearly demonstrates the recognition of the policy of the Turkmen state in the interests of peace, good neighbourliness, universal well-being and sustainable development.

Hero Arkadag thanked for the kind words and the continued support of the fraternal Turkish Republic for Turkmenistan’s international initiatives based on the principles of neutrality policy.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people also expressed gratitude for the participation of the Turkish delegation in the International Conference «Year of Peace and Trust: Development of International Activities for Children», dedicated to the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Noting the importance of a large-scale forum designed to unite efforts to ensure a happy future and prosperous life for children, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended to the delegation of the Republic of Turkey.

During the telephone conversation, it was noted that Türkiye is one of the strategic trade and economic partners of Turkmenistan. Building up and strengthening multifaceted Turkmen-Turkish relations on a long-term basis is one of the priorities of our country's foreign policy. In this regard, the parties noted with satisfaction the rapid development of bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres based on mutual respect, trust and mutual support. An integral part of the interstate dialogue is cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The Turkmen and Turkish peoples are united by a common history, culture and spiritual and moral values. In this regard, the parties noted the importance of targeted interaction and expressed confidence in the successful continuation of partnership in such areas as science, education, culture, art and sports.

Continuing the conversation, Hero-Arkadag expressed gratitude to the head of the fraternal state for the efforts to develop friendly bilateral relations and wished him good health, success in his state activities, and prosperity to the Turkish people.

Taking this opportunity, Hero-Arkadag asked President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to convey greetings to our sister Emine kanym from her sister Ogulgerek, as well as from the President of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The President of the Republic of Turkey, in turn, expressed warm greetings to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
