On April 28, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Vice President, Head of the Planning and Budget Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Hamid Pourmohammadi, who arrived in our country to participate in the First Ministerial Forum on Sustainable Development of the Economic Cooperation Organization.

Expressing gratitude to the Head of State for the time devoted to the meeting, the guest noted the high level of friendly relations between the two countries at the present level. Taking the opportunity, Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi conveyed warm words of greeting from President Masoud Pezeshkian to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.

Warmly welcoming the Vice President of the friendly country, the Head of State expressed deep condolences over the explosion that occurred at the Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas.

Conveying his best wishes to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his firm belief that the results of Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi’s current visit are intended to promote the intensification of mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries and will contribute to enriching it with new content.

Noting the existence of great opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation, the interlocutors expressed the need for more effective use of the potential of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission, which serves as a significant mechanism for strengthening fruitful cooperation.

- As is known, Turkmenistan is a supporter of diversification of energy exports to the world market, said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, continuing that our country is currently working together with partners to implement a number of important energy projects. This work is carried out taking into account the requirements for ensuring safety for the population and the environment. In this regard, Turkmenistan’s readiness to support initiatives and proposals aimed at further strengthening the interstate dialogue was confirmed..
