Today, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, held a regular meeting of the State Security Council to review the results of the work of the country's military and law enforcement agencies for January–May of the current year. The agenda also included issues of ensuring security and peace in our independent Motherland, strengthening the material and technical base of security agencies, and further improving their activities.
First to speak was the Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev, who reported on the measures implemented during the period under review to strengthen the country's defense capabilities, improve the service and social conditions of military personnel, and introduce digital systems in subordinate units. Information was also presented on the progress of citizen conscription for military service and ongoing activities for the patriotic education of young soldiers.
After hearing the report, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces emphasized the need to consistently focus on the program-based modernization of the National Army.
The President of Turkmenistan instructed the Secretary of the State Security Council and Minister of Defense to continue working on improving the material and social well-being of military personnel.
Prosecutor General B. Muhamedov reported on the results of activities for the past five months of the current year, including practical steps taken to ensure oversight of the strict compliance with legal provisions by legal entities and individuals. An account was also given of the ongoing steps to apply prosecutorial measures and the implementation of the Program for the Development of Prosecutor's Offices.
After hearing the report, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to continue work on overseeing the enforcement of Laws and acts of the President of Turkmenistan, paying special attention to strengthening law and order and preventing offenses. He also gave a number of instructions to the Prosecutor General.
Next, Minister of Internal Affairs M. Hydyrov reported on the work carried out by subordinate structures from January to May 2025 to ensure public order, prevent offenses, avert road traffic accidents, and improve the activities of the Fire Safety Service.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the minister to more effectively carry out activities to maintain public order and prevent offenses.
Chairman of the Supreme Court B. Hojamgulyev reported on the activities carried out during the specified period and the fulfillment of previous instructions given by the President of Turkmenistan regarding the modernization of the judicial system through the introduction of digital systems and advanced practices in this area.
After hearing the report, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to continue work on protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens in accordance with national legislation. He also emphasized the importance of constant attention to the systematic improvement of judges' professionalism. In this regard, relevant instructions were given to the Head of the Supreme Court.
Next to speak was the Minister of National Security, N. Atagaraev, who reported on the results of activities during the reporting period, measures implemented to maintain socio-political stability in the country, and the introduction of digital systems in subdivisions.
After hearing the report, the head of state instructed the minister to continue effective work aimed at ensuring the security of Turkmenistan.
The Head of the State Border Service, Ya. Nuryev, reported on the practical steps taken from January to May of the current year to protect the sacred borders of the Motherland, modernize the material and technical base of border units, and create proper conditions for the service and living of military personnel.
Summarizing the report, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan noted that our country's borders are borders of friendship, brotherhood, and good-neighborliness. In this regard, the importance of further ensuring their protection was emphasized. Stressing the need to keep the continuation of work on training highly qualified personnel at the forefront, the head of state gave specific instructions to the Head of the Service.
Next, the Minister of Adalat (Justice), M. Taganov, reported on the results of measures implemented during the period under review to introduce digital systems in subdivisions, implement the departmental development program, and prepare proposals for improving a number of legal acts.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the minister to continue working on developing legal acts aimed at the country's development.
Then, the Chairman of the State Customs Service, M. Hudaykulyev, reported on the results of the agency's activities for January–May of the current year, the technical re-equipment of subordinate structures within the framework of the departmental development program, and the creation of proper conditions for the fruitful work of the Motherland's defenders.
After hearing the report, the Head of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of properly processing goods at customs points and carrying out their reliable inspection. The need to keep the movement of transit transport under control was also noted. In this regard, a number of instructions were given to the Head of the Service.
Next, the Chairman of the State Migration Service, A. Sazakov, reported on the work done since the beginning of the year, including the application of digital system capabilities and modern methods to fulfill assigned duties.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that work should continue on improving the activities of this body through the digital system.
Addressing the meeting participants, the head of state emphasized that, in accordance with Turkmenistan's defensive Military Doctrine, measures are being taken to properly ensure the security and integrity of the independent, permanently neutral Motherland, strengthen its defense capabilities, and improve the social and living conditions of the Motherland's defenders and their families.
In this regard, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country's Armed Forces emphasized that work in this direction will continue.
A number of other issues were also considered at the State Security Council meeting, and appropriate decisions were made on them.
Concluding the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country's Armed Forces, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, wished the participants good health and great success in their responsible service for the peaceful and happy life of the people.
