The President of Turkmenistan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine

On June 19, 2025, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan Ms. Rana Abu Hijleh, who presented her credentials to the head of state.

Having expressed sincere gratitude for the time devoted to the meeting, the diplomat noted that it was a great honor for her to represent her country in Turkmenistan, which has earned high international prestige with its peace-loving policy, and, taking the opportunity, conveyed cordial greetings and best wishes from the President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the Head of state.

Having warmly greeted the Ambassador, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the diplomat on her appointment to the responsible post and wished her success in her activities to further develop bilateral relations.

Having conveyed his best wishes to the President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, the Head of state emphasized that Turkmenistan, guided by the legal status of positive neutrality in its foreign policy, attaches great importance to the development of constructive international cooperation.

As noted, political and diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the State of Palestine are built on the principles of equality, mutual respect and trust, including within the framework of authoritative international structures, primarily the United Nations.

During an interested exchange of views on the current state and prospects of bilateral relations in the trade and economic sector, the parties noted the presence of great potential for their development. Along with this, it was noted that an important part of the Turkmen-Palestinian relations is the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

Taking into account the broad potential for interaction in the designated areas, the head of state confirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to consider specific proposals and fruitful initiatives of the Palestinian side.

 President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, once again congratulating Ms. Rana Abu Hijleh on the start of her work in Turkmenistan, wished her good health, well-being and success in her responsible diplomatic activities.

Expressing gratitude for the good wishes, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine assured the Head of state that she would make every effort to further develop Palestinian-Turkmen relations.
