Today, the National Music and Drama Theater of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly held a solemn event dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the outstanding artist of our country, Hero of Turkmenistan, talented poet-mentor Amangozel Shagulyeva, celebrated in the International Year of Peace and Trust. On the occasion of the birthday of the poet-Hero, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar sent her congratulatory messages.
The celebration of the significant anniversary began with the patriotic literary and musical composition “Adyň arşa galdy Arkadag bilen, Arkadagly Gahryman Serdar bilen!”, which was masterfully performed by the artists of the National Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly.
The composition was accompanied by a demonstration of a video dedicated to the life and work of the master and poet-mentor A.Shagulyeva on a large monitor.
Then the official part of the ceremony began. First of all, the Congratulatory Message of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, sent to the Hero of Turkmenistan Amangozel Shagulyeva on the occasion of her birthday was read.
The Message of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov notes that in the era of the Revival of the new era of the powerful state under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, based on modern traditions, the national culture and art of artistic words are consistently enriched. The historical transformations carried out in the country and the successes achieved in the international arena are primarily widely reflected in the works of our writers, poets and journalists. Hero-Arkadag emphasized that a special role in this matter is given to the work of Amangozel Shagulyeva.
In his congratulations, Hero-Arkadag also noted that the Turkmen consider 85 years to be the highest manifestation of wisdom, nobility and maturity, expressing confidence that A.Shagulyeva will continue to delight readers with her wonderful works that echo the voice of the era and glorify the successes and achievements of our country.
To the thunderous applause of the participants of the celebration, on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the poet was presented a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Then, at the ceremony of honoring the Hero of Turkmenistan Amangozel Shagulyeva on the occasion of her birthday, the Congratulatory Message of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read. The Address of the head of state notes: “We are immensely proud of Your poems and verses, which glorify the grand achievements of our Fatherland and significant events of the current era on a historical scale... Your works are very important in the patriotic education of the younger generation, the establishment of unity, ideals of humanism and nobility in society”.
Arkadagly Hero Serdar, especially emphasized the hard work of A.Shagulyeva for many years, continuing the creative path of our outstanding writers, in further improving Turkmen literature, noting that she made a huge contribution to the popularization of the achievements of Turkmen literature in the world, familiarizing foreign readers with Turkmen poetry.
In His Congratulatory Address, the head of state also emphasized that the books written by the poetess have become favorites for many, since the ideas promoted in them are the voice of her heart, the inspiring melody of the grand achievements of the era. Expressing confidence that A.Shagulyeva, being a master poet, will continue to inspire young writers on the bright path of creativity, to please our happy people with impeccable works, the President of the country addressed her heartfelt congratulations on her birthday, celebrated this year, marked by celebrations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the country’s neutrality, and wishes for sound health, long life and creative success.
The congratulations of Arkadagly Hero Serdar were met with prolonged applause by the participants of the ceremony, at which point the master, poet-mentor was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.
Then the floor was given to the Vice President for Medical Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship – Oguljahan Atabayeva.
Congratulating the Hero of Turkmenistan, the poetess on her birthday, O.Atabaeva wished her good health, long life, a fine pen, further development and popularization of her work, noting that A.Shagulyeva is among the individuals who deserve special respect for their enormous contribution to the development of culture and art of our country, enrichment of the spiritual wealth of the Turkmen people.
As noted, long sincere service of A.Shagulyeva received high praise from her beloved Motherland and people.
“You have been awarded the high title of ‘Hero of Turkmenistan’ and have been presented with numerous government awards. These achievements are worthy of honoring. As a Hero of Turkmenistan, People’s Writer of Turkmenistan, laureate of the International Prize named after Magtymguly, you successfully convey to the general public the essence of the transformations taking place in our independent Motherland, the state policy of the Hero-Arkadag, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, aimed at further improving the lives of the people and developing the glorious Motherland with your sharp, meaningful, artistic and poetic word,” said O.Atabaeva.
Vice President for Medical Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship O.Atabaeva also noted that the people are waiting for each poem of the poetess A.Shagulyeva with great love and interest. In conclusion, having once again sincerely congratulated the poetess on her anniversary, O.Atabaeva wished her inexhaustible creative inspiration and long life.
O.Atabaeva concluded her speech with wonderful wishes: “May each of your deeds leave an indelible mark in the hearts of our people. May every day be filled with success and happiness.”

The celebration continued with performances by famous singers, musical and dance groups of the country. Listening to songs that give inspiration and joy, to the words of the master and poet-mentor A.Shagulyeva, the ceremony participants watched with great interest the performances dedicated to the remarkable event.
The speakers, including People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, Hero of Turkmenistan J. Saparova, Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan on the activities of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Hero of Turkmenistan Ch.Rustemov, Hero of Turkmenistan, sculptor Saragt Babayev, especially emphasized that the Hero of Turkmenistan, People’s Writer of Turkmenistan, laureate of the International Prize named after Magtymguly Amangozel Shagulyeva – a widely known and respected poet in the country – is endowed with creative inspiration and with her winged lines warmly responds to all the important events and transformations taking place in our Homeland.
In each line of her poems, one can feel the impulses of the inspired heart of a poet and a person devoted to the Fatherland and her beloved people. The work of Amangozel Shagulyeva plays an important role in strengthening the unity and cohesion of the Turkmen people, in educating young people in the spirit of patriotism. Her poems, imbued with ardent love for her beloved Motherland, are popular among readers and formed the basis of songs by famous pop performers, noted the singers, writers, poets, public figures, journalists, masters of culture and art who spoke at the ceremony.
In her speech, the official representative of Turkmenistan to the Secretariat of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) L.Ovezgeldiyeva emphasized that each book of the poetess is the personification of her inner world, love of life, boundless love for her beloved people, for their ancient and eternal history. In honor of the poetess's birthday, L.Ovezgeldiyeva announced the publication of a collection of poems, “Women and the Word in the Turkic World,” in nine languages – Turkmen, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Turkish, English, French and Russian – and presented the first copy of this book to A.Shagulyeva, wishing that the new book would become a kind of bridge uniting peoples, countries and cultures in the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The high level of the celebration held at the National Music and Drama Theater of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly on the occasion of the birthday of the Hero of Turkmenistan, master, mentor and poet Amangozel Shagulyeva is evidence that thanks to the noble activities of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag and President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, our country has deep respect for the national culture and literature, honors outstanding personalities, pays tribute to the work of cultural and artistic figures, including creative workers who contribute to the prosperity of the Motherland. In this regard, during the ceremony, the speakers expressed sincere gratitude to Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the opportunities and conditions created for celebrating such glorious anniversaries and significant dates in our sovereign country, and wishes for good health, long life, and further great success in activities for the benefit of the people and the state.

The ceremony ended with the performance of a glorious and inspiring song “Ýaşa, ýaşa, Milli Lider Gahryman Arkadagymyz, Arkadagly Gahryman Serdarymyz!”, created based on the poems of the Hero of Turkmenistan, master, poet-mentor Amangozel Shagulyeva.
