Today, the final of the creative competition "Çalsana, bagşy!" was held at the Palace of Mukams of the State Cultural Center.

In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, noble initiatives of the Hero-Arkadag, including those for the development of culture, are currently being successfully implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

All conditions are created in our country to identify talented youth and improve their skills. In this regard, it is important to note the significance of the artistic competition "Çalsana, bagşy!" held among performers on the dutar with the aim of developing the national art of bakhshi and the musical creativity of the Turkmen people, as well as stimulating young talents.

The art of playing the dutar, which originated deep in the centuries and reflects the life philosophy and spiritual values of our peace-loving people, has always been highly revered in our country. Today, the sweet sounds of the Turkmen dutar sound like a hymn in honor of the sacred independence and neutrality of our state, as well as a symbol of peace, kindness, friendship, and brotherhood. A bright confirmation of this is the inscription of the dutar making craftsmanship and traditional music performing art combined with singing, and the bakhshi art in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The congratulatory address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the participants of the final round of the competition "Çalsana, bagşy!" was listened to with great attention. As noted in the message of the head of state, today significant progress is observed in domestic culture, as in other areas. The improvement of culture has a significant influence on increasing the country's creative potential and promoting the principles of patriotism, unity, and humanism in society. In this respect, large-scale state programs are successfully implemented with the goal of strengthening the material and technical base of specialized institutions and building new ones, developing national culture, art, and literature, as well as stimulating creative workers.

The state pays great attention to improving the ancient national art of bakhshi, enriching it with new songs and melodies, and identifying young bakhshi-musicians passionate about this type of creative activity. The competition among dutar players who are bakhshi musicians, "Çalsana, bagşy!", conducted within the framework of the contest for the President of Turkmenistan’s prize "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry", plays a special role in identifying and encouraging representatives of the younger generation capable of contributing to the further development of musical and vocal art.

Participation in the creative competition for performers aged 18 to 35 is an expression of care for our youth, which is one of the priorities of the state policy of the country. The final round was attended by 14 bakhshi and 14 dutar players from the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, as well as from the velayats who won in the qualifying rounds.

The folk melodies performed by the dutar players reflect the national mentality, way of life, and spirituality of the Turkmen people, and the music of various peoples of the world, including classical music, gave the concert program a unique color.

One of the brightest moments of the ceremony was the song "Çalsana, bagşy!" performed by the competition participants.

Then Turkmen folk songs were played. Inspired by the President of Turkmenistan's attention to the creativity of the youth, young talents tried to demonstrate all their skill. The multi-faceted nature of the competition is due to the performance by bakhshi-musicians of folk music and songs based on traditions characteristic of various regions of the country.

An important place in the concert program was given to performances praising the musical culture of our people and its peace-loving principles. The song "Parahatçylyk aýdymy," jointly performed by the competition participants, increased the great pride for the policy of friendship and brotherhood, for the tremendous efforts of the President of Turkmenistan for the sake of a prosperous and peaceful life of our people, and for the promotion of national culture abroad.

Then came the most exciting moment of the competition — the award ceremony. Amid thunderous applause from the audience, the names of the 14 winners — bakhshi and dutar players — were announced, and they were presented with special diplomas and gifts from the President of Turkmenistan. In addition, all those who participated in the "Çalsana, bagşy!" competition were awarded commemorative gifts on behalf of the head of state.

In conclusion, the participants of the creative competition adopted an Address to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, expressing gratitude to the Arkadagly Hero Serdar for his constant support of youth creative initiatives and attention to the development of national culture. Being worthy successors of the creative path of master bakhshi, the young artists will make every effort to develop Turkmen musical art.
