Today, the final round of the “Yaňlan, Diýarym!” TV contest was held in the Aşgabat Capital Music Center, in which 14 young singers who won the qualifying competitions took part and demonstrated their excellent vocal skills.

Performances by masters of art give a special flavor to the festive events taking place in the life of our country. Therefore, this creative competition, dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the sacred independence of our Motherland, became a gift for lovers of music and song.

Organized jointly by the Ministry of Culture and the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of the country, the competition among talented young performers is held annually as part of the competition for the Presidential Prize “Türkmeniň Altyn asyry”. 

This competition facilitates the enrichment of the spiritual heritage of our people and their musical culture, being a kind of bridge between the ancient traditions of bakhshi and modern musical art. It encourages young performers to modernize folk songs and create new compositions in the national spirit.

Holding such creative events is a clear reflection of the special attention of the state to the development of national culture. This is of great importance for the formation of the young generation of gifted artists called upon to promote the prosperity of the national culture, as well as for identifying future bright stars of Turkmen music. The “Yaňlan, Diýarym!” TV contest inspires young people to be creative, find their own path in art, and create new works. 

In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, comprehensive work is being carried out to develop national culture and art, their further improvement, identify talented creative youth and stimulate them in this direction. 

As noted in the Congratulatory Message of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the participants of the final round of the “Yaňlan, Diýarym!” TV contest, our valiant ancestors attached great importance to song and music, believed that the art that educates the best features in the young generation is unshakable strength and will. The melodies and songs that have reached us through the centuries contain the spiritual and moral values, principles and humanistic ideals of our people. Song and music sounded in every home in the peaceful land, expressing the spiritual aspirations of our ancestors, and have reached our days, being passed on from generation to generation. 

The Address of the head of state emphasizes that the art of song and music occupied a huge place in the life of the Turkmen, through it our people glorified the principles of peace, friendship and brotherhood. All this is meaningfully and eloquently described in the books of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, “Culture is the Soul of the People”, “Bakhshi – Harbingers of National Happiness” and “Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood”. In the International Year of Peace and Trust, marked by the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality, national songs and music fill the world as the melody of our achievements, sound high, as an ode to peace and unity.

Songs of talented young performers, sounded in the final state round of the “Ýaňlan, Diýarym!” contest, glorifying our Fatherland, centuries-old glorious history, the beauty of nature, as well as the successes achieved under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, are a unique decoration of the celebrations dedicated to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan. 

The creative competition was held in three rounds. According to its terms, the participants performed songs to music and a cappella. Their performances were assessed by a jury consisting of cultural figures and masters of art of the country. In addition to vocal abilities, originality of performance and artistry were encouraged.

For talented singers who successfully passed the preliminary etrap and velayat competitions within the framework of the competition and received the right to participate in the final state round, this became an important starting point for their entry into the world of music. The joint concert of the winners of the qualifying rounds brought together the best young performers from all over Turkmenistan and became a wonderful culmination of the creative competition that lasted for several months.

The “Yaňlan, Diýarym!” song performed by all the winners of the competition gave a special flavor to the concert. Then the young performers presented to the audience an inspired composition that harmoniously combined modern and classical folk melodies, thereby reflecting the fundamental changes taking place in the country and the continuity of musical traditions that enrich the spiritual and cultural heritage of our people. Each performance was distinguished by its musical style, originality of performance and earned applause from the audience.

Famous singers and winners of competitions of past years were invited to the concert of the final round. This became another vivid manifestation of the continuation of the path of mentoring in the Turkmen musical art.

The “Alkyşnama” song, enthusiastically performed by all participants of the creative event and became the apotheosis of the current celebration, is dedicated to the successful activities of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hero-Arkadag in the name of the happiness of our people, the glorification of national art, the further prosperity of the Fatherland, striving forward, along the path of progress.

Then, it was held the ceremony of summing up the results of the competition. Its winners, who were awarded special diplomas and a gold chain of the President of Turkmenistan, were announced to the thunderous applause of the audience.

Furthermore, all the laureates of the creative competition were presented memorable gifts on behalf of the head of state.

Participants of the final round of the “Ýaňlan, Diýarym!” TV contest adopted a thankful address to the President of Turkmenistan, in which they expressed sincere gratitude for the creation of all conditions for creativity in the country, assuring that they will develop their creative abilities to glorify national art.
