Business Forum on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the C5+1 Format

A business conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Central Asia-US cooperation format was held at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States of America.

As part of the formal part of the forum, an exhibition was organized highlighting the rich cultural heritage and economic potential of the Central Asian countries.

The exhibition of Turkmenistan introduced to guests the country’s achievements, economic successes, national historical and cultural values, and books written by Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The event also featured speeches by cultural figures and artists from Central Asian countries.

At the opening ceremony of the forum, representatives of the Government of the United States noted the importance of developing sustainable six-format cooperation based on the principles of mutual respect.

In his speech, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov emphasized that the current business conference, held with such a representative composition, confirms the transition from plans to practical cooperation. At the same time, emphasis was placed on the importance of partnership within this platform.

Among the priority areas for economic cooperation were advanced technologies, digitalization, artificial intelligence, green standards, energy, and transport. At the same time, cooperation is based on the diversification of energy and transport flows, ensuring their reliability and stability, and commitment to the principles of taking into account the interests of all stakeholders.

At the same time, the importance of intensifying mutual trade between Central Asian countries and the United States, as well as the formation of an effective legal framework for partnership, was noted.

At the plenary session “Success Story: Methods of Developing Business Potential between the United States and Central Asia”, the representatives of companies from the participating countries of the forum shared their experiences in implementing large-scale investment and commercial projects.

Emphasis was also placed on the significant role of public-private partnerships in implementing projects to develop transport and communications infrastructure and digitalize financial services.

During the panel session “Development of Transport Routes between the US and Central Asia” the participants discussed opportunities for creating effective, cost-efficient, and sustainable transport and communications routes connecting the countries of the region with North American markets.

The panel session “Connecting the Power of Artificial Intelligence” focused an exchange of views on the importance of widespread adoption of artificial intelligence technologies in key sectors of the economy, including finance, agriculture, and energy, as well as in public administration.

During the panel session “Interconnection through the Digital Economy”, the experts and representatives of relevant institutions discussed specific measures for using the digital system as an effective mechanism to promote regional interconnection and inclusive economic development.

The panel session “How to Invest in the United States?” became the main platform for entrepreneurs from Central Asian countries to learn about mechanisms for entering the US market.

At the panel session “How to invest in Central Asia?”, American investors and financial institutions learned about the favorable conditions and potential of the region’s rapidly developing markets.

At the conclusion of the forum, participants noted the significance of the C5+1 format in deepening economic dialogue between Central Asia and the United States, emphasizing that it serves as an effective platform for implementing joint projects.
