Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met President of the Kirghiz Republic Sadyr Japarov who arrived in Turkmenistan on a visit to participate in the large-scale festive events.

Having hospitably welcomed the head of the friendly country, the head of the state thanked him for the accepted invitation to participate in the International Forum devoted to the International year of peace and trust, International Neutrality Day and the 30^th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan. As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out, participation of Kyrgyzstan in the work of the Forum at the higher state level is regarded as display of huge respect for the policy of positive neutrality of our fatherland.

Having expressed his gratitude for the shown hospitality, President Sadyr Japarov underlined a great significance of the forthcoming International Forum in cementing peace and sustainable development in regional and global dimensions. Taking an opportunity, the honoured guest warmly congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the 30^th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.

Having thanked for kind words, the head of the state noted that the International year of peace and trust is marked by two anniversaries - the 80^th anniversary of the foundation of the United Nations Organization and 30^th anniversary of recognition of the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan. At the Forum, organized on the occasion of the glorious date, topical issues of the present time will be discussed.

As was marked, Turkmenistan and the Kirghiz Republic are connected by relations of friendship and brotherhood, good neighbourhood and the mutual understanding, the reliable basis of which is made out of historical and cultural commonality, adherence to national traditions and customs and aspiration to joint development.

During the exchange of opinions on the present state of bilateral trade and economic partnership, interlocutors with satisfaction stated the positive dynamics of mutual goods turnover and presence of big possibilities for its promotion.

At the end of the meeting, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Kirghiz Republic Sadyr Japarov exchanged best regards and expressed confidence in the further successful development of the interstate dialogue based on principles of mutual respect and trust.
