Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev who arrived in Turkmenistan on a visit to participate in festive events on the occasion of the 30^th anniversary of permanent neutrality of our fatherland.

Having warmly greeted the leader of the neighbouring country, the head of the state thanked him for the accepted invitation to the International Forum, which is to be held in the Turkmen capital. It was underlined that participation of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the higher state level in the work of this large scale Forum testifies to support to the neutral policy of Turkmenistan as well as special attention to cooperation with our country.

Having thanked for the shown hospitality, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the importance of organization of this Forum in brotherly Turkmenistan. Taking an opportunity, the head of the neighbouring state warmly congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the 30^th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.

As was underlined during the meeting, Turkmenistan sees Kazakhstan as a reliable strategic partner. Interstate relations are based on principles of mutual respect, equality and meaningful dialogue. Our countries actively expand interaction both in the bilateral format, and within the international structures. Regular top-level contacts also testify to efficiency of cooperation on the world scene.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out that he remembers with warmth the recently state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, which has once again confirmed a brotherly character of the interstate dialogue. Using the possibility, the head of Turkmenistan once again thanked the President of Republic Kazakhstan for the highest award – the Altyn Kyran Order.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, having confirmed adherence of two countries to the further development of all-round cooperation, exchanged best regards.
