Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, welcomed the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the International Airport of the capital.

According to the established tradition of hospitality, the distinguished Turkish guest was presented with bread and salt, as well as flowers.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, then held a meeting with the President of Türkiye at the airport.

Hero-Arkadag thanked the head of the brotherly state for accepting the invitation to participate in the International Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. It was noted that this visit by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a confirmation of the full support provided by the Republic of Türkiye for the foreign policy course of independent Turkmenistan, which remains consistently committed to the principles of permanent neutrality.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation, the Turkish leader emphasized the significance of the Ashgabat Forum, which would offer a good opportunity to discuss issues of further international cooperation for a better future, based on the principles of peace and trust promoted by Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the strong mutual interest in further strengthening Turkmen–Turkish relations was also noted, and confidence was expressed that interstate cooperation would continue to develop dynamically across a wide range of areas.
