On April 24, 2026, on the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Speaker of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova accepted the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Turkmenistan (with residence in Moscow), Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira.

Congratulating him on his appointment to this important post on behalf of the head of state, the speaker of the national parliament wished the diplomat success in consistently strengthening interstate relations.

A thorough exchange of views on a wide range of issues related to Turkmen-Argentine relations took place in bilateral and multilateral formats, primarily within the United Nations and other authoritative international organizations. Emphasis was placed on the importance of strengthening interparliamentary dialogue in the area of legislative drafting.
