As part of the world equestrian championships and the ahal-teke horse beauty contest in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a presentation of the book «The Horse – A symbol of loyalty and happiness» by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, was held in Dutch, which enhanced the significance of large-scale events organised across Europe in honour of Turkmen horses.
The proclamation of the 2026 motto «Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses» creates enormous opportunities not only for enhancing the global fame of the ahal-teke horses, but also for developing international cooperation, promoting the principles of peace and friendship, and familiarising the international community with the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people and the modern socio-economic achievements of our country.
The signing of a corresponding document by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov earlier this year, aimed at further promoting the «heavenly» horses – the embodiment of the noble aspirations, pride, and priceless heritage of the Turkmen people – as well as at thoroughly preparing for international equestrian competitions and beauty contests of global significance, has become a huge contribution to spreading the fame of these unrivaled «heavenly» horses throughout the world.
...The presentation, which took place in the city of Venray in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, was attended by leaders and representatives of academia, the equestrian industry, and the media from Turkmenistan and European countries.
The initiatives of Hero-Arkadag to increase the glory of the ahal-teke horses in every corner of the planet are currently being successfully implemented under the wise leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar. The presentation of the remarkable book by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, dedicated to the «paradise» horses, in the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the year held under the motto «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged horses» serves as vivid evidence of this.
As noted by speakers from the Turkmen side, Hero-Arkadag created a number of invaluable works dedicated to ahal-teke horses – the pride of the Turkmen people. They present extensive information about the unique traditions of breeding and raising ahal-teke horses, passed down from generation to generation, with which the rich, centuries-old history and destiny of our people are inextricably linked.
Thanks to the noble initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the development and widespread popularisation of equestrian of our ancestors art in the world have become one of the priority vectors of state policy. This noble initiative is currently successfully continuing under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The large-scale events unfolding in the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the year of the widespread celebration of the 35th anniversary of independence of the Fatherland serve as further confirmation of this.

Foreign representatives speaking at the event emphasised that the works written by Hero-Arkadag over the years serve as a valuable guide in popularising and spreading the fame of these «heavenly» horses throughout the world, a source of information about the glorious history of the legendary breed, the distinctive characteristics of the ahal-teke, and the care shown to them at the state level in Turkmenistan.
As noted, the publication of the book of Hero-Arkadag in Dutch was a wonderful gift for a large readership and, above all, for specialists working in the field of horse breeding. The work not only expands knowledge about racehorses, but is also of great importance for improving the culture of horse breeding. After reading this book, one comes to a clear understanding that the horse has always, throughout thousands of years, remained a devoted friend of man, a faithful companion in difficult and joyful days. Using examples from everyday life, the reader is shown an exceptionally respectful attitude towards the horse, which plays a key role in achieving the intended goals. Information about national horse breeding traditions and events organized in our country to mark the National Day of the Turkmen Horse allows us to become more familiar with the rich national heritage of the Turkmen people.
In this regard, representatives of authoritative international organisations and scientific and educational institutions in the equestrian industry expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for hosting the world equestrian championships and the ahal-teke horse beauty contest in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The large-scale of sporting, cultural, and scientific events of championship created the conditions for uniting true admirers of these «heavenly» horses from all corners of the planet, ushering in a new epoch in the development of international cooperation in horse breeding and the humanization of international relations through ahal-teke horses, who serve as ambassadors of peace and enrich universal human values.
