A solemn ceremony took place in Ashgabat to lay a foundation of new building to be commissioned in Turkmenistan in the framework of the program that was launched in January of this year for construction of free of charge housing for the population in need of social support. Representatives of the capital administration, public organizations, labor collectives, honorary elders and youth took part in the ceremony. Creative groups gave songs and music performances, and young athletes demonstrated their skills. A new four-storey 48-apartment house, where all conditions are created for comfortable residence, will be located in one of the most beautiful sites of the capital (a residential micro-district 8). The location of the new building was chosen with a special purpose. In the immediate vicinity of this area are the trade market, and, most importantly, an educational-training complex with a rehabilitation center for 420 people, as well as the sports complex “Galkynysh”. Taking into account a green park space and other facilities of the social infrastructure, created within this district, the residents of this new building will be provided with all necessary facilities to recover their health. Under the project houses will have entrance ramps and broader doorways. The apartments have been designed and equipped according to the needs of future new settlers, especially elders. The territory adjacent to the house will be landscaped and turned into a blooming garden. All necessary conditions will be created for recreation of residents, doing sports and physical training. Special attention has been paid to the issues of interesting pastime for children and youth. Ceremonies of commissioning first houses that have been built according to specially designed projects for people with physical disabilities were held earlier in Tejen town of Akhal velayat, as well as administrative centers of Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayats.
