In order to diversify the economy and implement the State Program of Privatization of Enterprises and Objects of State Property for 2013-2016, the President of Turkmenistan has signed the Resolution “On the Establishment of Open Joint-Stock Company “Turkmenistan Airlines”. The document prescribes to the Ministry of Economy and Development and the State National Service Turkmenhovayollary to change organizational and legal form of the departmental air transport enterprise “Turkmenistan”, reorganizing it into an open joint stock company “Turkmenistan Airlines”. Authorized participation in the capacity of the founders of OJSC “Turkmenistan Airlines” is allowed to the State National Service Turkmenhovayollary, at the rate of the authorized capital of 70%, to the International Airport of Ashgabat - by 27% and to the Main Air Service - by 3%.
