Today the opening of the Stomatological education and practice centre and the research clinical centre of eye diseases equipped with advanced technologies of the State Medical University of Turkmenistan took place. Heads of the system of public health services of the country, representatives of public medical services, the faculty and students of the SMUT took part in the ceremonies. The Stomatological education and practice centre comprises of five branches: children's, therapeutic, surgical, orthopaedic and functional-diagnostic and also lecture halls with multimedia technics for students of stomatology faculty of the medical university. The innovative equipment of the centre allows carrying out a wide spectrum of works. For example, by means of prosthetics CAD/CAM-system it is possible to model and make in an automatic mode of the crown, implants and other means for tooth alignment restoration. In the children's branch silent dental drills «Intego» manufactured by company ""Sirona"" (Germany) were installed. At the disposal of the centre the newest ultrasonic complex «Vector Paro», giving the opportunity as much as possible carefully, quickly and without serious consequences to clean the teeth of deposits. In the centre well-equipped educational and medical offices of the department of orthopaedic and surgical stomatology of the state medical university were placed. Students master primary skills of their future trade by means of phantom training apparatus. In the office of herbal medicine of the centre procedures with use of medicinal herbs with a view of preventive maintenance of stomatology diseases are carried out. Local scientists by means of high technologies conduct researches to reveal mineralizing influence of preparations of ""green drugstore», decoctions and infusions on tooth enamel, study their bactericidal, bacteriostatic and anti-oxidant properties. A great attention is also given to other natural sources of health. So researches on application for preventive maintenance and treatment of possible complications in the course of orthodontic treatment of children with the medicinal water ""Berzengi"" thanks to which positive results are reached, for example, are carried out. Highly skilled research assistants of the research clinical centre of eye diseases in common with experts of the department of eye diseases conduct research, educational and methodological and therapy and consultative work, widely making use of experience of foreign colleagues. Lecture halls are equipped by modern technics - interactive boards, computers, 3D-video projectors. All it allows to visualise ophthalmologic operations in оn-line mode. At the department there is also a big video collection with which help students can familiarise in detail with innovative methods of diagnostics and treatment of eye diseases, operation carried out - in 3D­format and in the form of animation. As a part of out-patient branch of the centre there are two rooms for protection of sight of children. For the first time in Turkmenistan the advanced highly effective diagnostic system ""Ret Cam"" intended for revealing at an early stage of complex pathology of new-borns here was established. By means of this paediatric chamber it is possible to receive in a digital form the image of retina and other sections of eyes with the maximum comfort and safety for the child. The out-patient service for the adult patients consists of rooms of emergency aid, inspection of eye grounds and diagnostics of anomaly of refraction of eye. In the emergency aid branch all possibilities for patients with traumas of vision - from primary surgical processing before reconstructive-regenerative operations of eye and its appendages with use of methods of modern microsurgery are created at any time. For difficult operations function 6 operational blocks equipped with modern ophthalmologic microscopes and other devices from firms of Germany, the USA, Great Britain, and Switzerland.
