The Turkmen national team won seven medals at the World Sambo Cup in Moscow

The Sambo Cup “Memorial of A. Harlampiev” has finished in Moscow, where our athletes won seven medals. The tournament gathered about 300 masters from 27 countries - USA, Japan, France, Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Czech Republic, etc., at the small sports arena of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex. Participants competed in two disciplines of this sport - classical and combat. One of the gold medals of the Turkmen team was won in the combat version by the master of sports of the international class, the participant of the Olympic Games-2016 in Rio de Janeiro - Gulbadam Babamuratova (weight class up to 52 kgs). The second medal of the highest standard was won in combat Sambo by Charymyrat Annagurbanov (up to 100 kg). Silver medals have been awarded to Ahmet Tanryberdiyev (up to 57 kg), Javlanbek Madaminov (up to 82 kg),and Lyalya Nuriyeva (up to 80 kg), whereas Abdylla Babayev (up to 68 kg) and Kerim Allanurov (up to 58 kg) rose to the third stage of the podium.
