President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held the meeting with Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan, who arrived in our country leading the representative delegation. The head of the government of the friendly state conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. The distinguished guest noted that one of the key areas of the foreign-policy strategy of his country was the enhancement of cooperation with Turkmenistan. Cordially greeting Karen Karapetyan, the Turkmen leader conveyed the best wishes to the President of Armenia. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov confirmed the commitment of Turkmenistan to building up fruitful cooperation with the Republic of Armenia. The modern history of relations between Turkmenistan and Armenia is distinguished for the active interstate dialogue that meets the interests of the two countries. During the meeting, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan discussed the wide spectrum of issues of the bilateral partnership. It was emphasized that the international treaty framework established within the years of independence provided the platform for building up the interstate relations. The work of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Armenian Commission on Economic Cooperation as well as regular political consultations and business talks between the representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries contributes to improving and enriching the international treaty framework. According to the President of Turkmenistan and Prime Minister of Armenia underlined that there were wide opportunities for strengthening the long-term, efficient cooperation in a number of priority areas given the demands of the national economies and priorities of the social and economic development of the two states.
