Work results of military and law enforcement agencies for the first quarter of the year are discussed during the session of the State Security Council held by President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Heads of law enforcement departments reported on the situation in their fields including on the measures for strengthening of general defence capability and potential of the Armed Forces. Fulfilment of recent Resolution of the Head of the State on demobilisation of servicemen to reserve from the Armed Forces and other military divisions and regular mobilization of Turkmenistan citizens for fixed-term military duty was a separate subject of the report. It was reported on the modernization of facilities and equipment base of border guard service, improvement of judicial system, respect for the rule of law, provision of fire and traffic safety. The measures for organizational and personnel improvement of the Custom Service of Turkmenistan that turns into international intersection of transport and transit corridors, provision of thorough cargo inspection crossing the border of the country were reviewed. In particular, the necessity of further improvement of work methods using modern technologies and by regular trainings and practical sessions for the personnel of the custom checkpoints was highlighted. It was mentioned in the report of the Migration Service that the outcomes of the first quarter demonstrate stable tendency of the growth of number of foreign guests visiting our country. In this regard, the head of the State gave concrete instructions for successful fulfilment of the objectives of the service. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov defined the main tasks for the Ministry of Justice regarding an active implementation of advanced international practices in development of legislative acts and establishment of the conditions for free development of the individual, protection and invariable respect for human rights. Outlining key subjects of the agenda, the Head of the State gave instructions for optimization of the activity of law enforcement departments and improvement of their efficiency. The President of Turkmenistan also said that it is necessary to organize the preparation to V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat in this autumn in military and law enforcement agencies of the country and all other departments.
