President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between two states. «For the past period Russian-Turkmen relations have assumed the level of strategic partnership. The substantial political dialogue at various levels, fruitful cooperation in trade and economic, power energy, scientific and technical, humanitarian and other areas have been adjusted. The constructive interaction of Moscow and Ashgabat is an important factor of maintenance of stability and safety in Central Asia and the Caspian sea», - noted in the message. Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that by joint efforts all complex of mutually advantageous partnership relations for the benefit of the friendly people of Russia and Turkmenistan will be increased actively further. The congratulatory message on the occasion of the establishment of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan to the head of the state was also directed by Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. «Our countries rely on the time proven friendly and partnership relations. Trade and economic, investment, scientific and technical and cultural-humanitarian cooperation develops promptly. Large joint projects in power energy, industry, transport infrastructure, agriculture and other areas are realised. The substantial dialogue on the inter-regional aspect is carried on, contacts between business circles and public associations extend. The useful co-ordinating role is played by the intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation ». Dmitry Medvedev especially pointed out a significant contribution of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov to the development of all complex of bilateral interaction and expressed confidence that the further enhancement of practical cooperation fully answers long-term interests of Russia and Turkmenistan.
