The 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Japan

On the 21st of April the conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Japan was held at International university for the Humanities and development. Guests of the conference were delegation of Japan Foundation (JF) . The President of JF Mr. Hiroyasu Ando, gave speech about future goals of Foundation and cultural promotion between Japan and Turkmenistan. Then, Professor of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies Hisao Komatsu talked about cooperation in educational sphere among two countries. Mutual promotion and joint researches between Tokio University of Foreign Studies and International University for the Humanities and Development, agreement between Tsukubo University and Turkmen State Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi, opening of The Turkmen University of engineer-technology named after Ogkhuz Khan, where subjects are held in English and Japanese are precise evidence. Also, there were underlined the importance of academic exchange, in particular visit of students of International University for the Humanities and Development to Japan on October, 2015 and 2016. Next speaker, instructor of University for the Humanities and Development Dr. Mamedov Nazar delivered presentation about cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan in 25 years period of diplomatic relations. In the presentation, he talked about history of Turkmen-Japanese relationship development and about 4 main fields of cooperation between countries: carrying on stability and peace in international level, economic cooperation, cultural cooperation and human capital development. Yuko Sogame, instructor of Japanese language at the International university for the Humanities and Development, gave information about the work of Global Japanese Office, which was opened at International University for the Humanities and Development in 2016. Global Japanese Office – the project of Tokio University of Foreign Studies – that aimed to broaden cultural exchange through organizing Japanese courses and conducting an exhibition of Japanese culture. At the end, guests shared impressions and expressed their gratitude for warm welcoming.
