The national organization on bar coding is admitted as a member of International organization ""GSI"", home production is assigned with corresponding bar code. This decision was accepted unanimously by 111 member-countries at the session of General assembly of ""GSI"" International organization in Sydney (Australia). Production made in our country will be marked with bar code beginning with numbers 483. The international system GSI – “Global Standard” is an important tool of market regulation of quality and competitiveness of the goods and services. The national organization on bar coding is founded at share participation of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and totals 366 members. Large-scale operations are carried out in introduction of bar coding system in our country, about 20 thousand names of commodity output produced by our home producers, have already been assigned with corresponding marks.
