The weightlifting competitions in the weight category up to 77 kg among women were not represented by Turkmen athletes. The absolute victory in this event (three gold medals) was won by Rongyang Lee with a total weight of 250 kg (110 kg in the snatch and 140 kg in the jerk). Silver medalist was Chi-Ling Yao of the Chinese Taipei (237 kg), and the top three was closed by member of the team of the Republic of Korea Yunjeong Yeom (217 kg). Dayanch Ashirov of Turkmenistan performed in the men’s event in the weight category up to 85 kg, who was included in the top six of the best weightlifters in Asia. The victory in this event was won by Yungchao Zao of the Chinese team who lifted a total of 356 kg (160 kg in the snatch and 196 kg in the jerk). The second place was taken by Iranian weightlifter Salekh Cheragi (352 kg), and Toshiki Yamamoto of Japan (351 kg) was on the third step of the podium.
