The new seaport will create the most favorable conditions for European countries to enter the commodity and raw materials markets of the Near and Middle East, as well as to the states of the Indian Ocean basin, allowing the freight flows to significantly reduce the distance and travel time. This strategic facility will become a worthy contribution of Turkmenistan to the export-import logistics system of the region. The multimodal logo park will carry out a complex of services for storage and combined handling of cargoes delivered by air, road and rail transport, ensuring their transshipment to and from water transport. The port will be equipped with advanced software and hardware systems necessary for the safety and efficiency of navigation and cargo transportation, as well as environmental protection. At the most modern level, fire safety and chemical safety standards, medical, quarantine and customs control services, information and communication network and other units will be provided here. According to the general opinion of the foreign guests, the transport and logistics infrastructure formed in the Turkmen coastal region has all prospects to become a multimodal center of the Caspian region.
