Having successfully group stage, women basketball team met the team from Syria in quarterfinal. The main time ended in a draw. After one minute in additional time, Turkmenistan team to take advantage with 16:14 score. Ayna Gokova, the most efficient player of the team with 10 points, was an author of the winning ball. Men team met one of the favourites of the tournament – Mali team, in quarterfinal. The match ended up with the victory of our team with 13:10 score. Toyli Bayriyev and Maksim Otbozin scored 6 points each. Another ball was scored by Rustam Bagshiyev and Alexander Pashkov was very good in defence. In tennis, Turkmen sportsmen Anastasia Prenko and Jahan Bayramova took the forth position in duo competitions between women. They won the team for the Islamic Republic of Iran in quarterfinal round (6:4; 5:7; 1:0). As it was already informed, previously our girls together with Guljan Muhammetguliyeva won bronze medals in team competitions. IV Islamic Solidarity Games ends on May 22. We will summarize the results of Turkmenistan team that has 13 medals at the moment – two gold, four silver and seven bronze. That places our team among 15 best teams of complex competitions.
