President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held the regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers where the pressing issues of state affairs have been discussed and several draft documents reviewed. The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution on Establishing the Inter-Ministerial Commission to Analyze Proposals on Administrative and Structural Reforms in Economic Sectors. The commission shall draft legal acts on improving the work of various sectors of the national economy. The head of state said that the delegation of Turkmenistan led by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, B. Hojamammedov, will be heading to the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation to take part in the session of the CIS Council of the Heads of Governments. The outcomes of the VIII International Gas Congress of Turkmenistan and the sectoral exhibition, held on 23-24 May in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, have been mentioned at the session. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has stressed that the efficient use of energy resources is a strategic vector of the state policy; works are conducted on diversifying the export routes for energy carriers. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded that control be enhanced over the implementation of the Program of Development of the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan for the Period to 2030, and gave relevant instructions regarding the construction of new gas processing and petrochemical complexes. At the cabinet session, the Ministry of Energy has been reported to be purchasing spare parts, tools and materials needed for the electrical distribution network and service works at gas turbines of power plants. The draft Order on Allocating Land for the Construction in Ashgabat of the Hotel with the Multipurpose Business Center has been submitted for the approval of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has noted current shortcomings in the work of several districts of the capital, and gave a number of instructions on addressing the weaknesses. The President of Turkmenistan signed the Order issuing a severe reprimand to the head of the Archabil district of Ashgabat, A.Rejepalyyev, for the improper exercise of functions of the office and performance shortcomings. It has also been reported that the preparation is underway for the regular session of the State Commission of Turkmenistan for Emergency Situations. The head of state ordered to undertake the scheduled activities in accordance with the working plan of the State Commission for the current year. Information has been presented on works related to supplying the country’s consumer market with the wide variety of food products; improving the service quality in the trade sector; the actions undertaken to enhance the activity of sales points in Ashgabat and provincial centers. It has been reported that the preparation is underway for the Day of Textile Industry Workers celebrated on the first Sunday of June that will be held back-to-back with the International Exhibition “Turkmen Textile – 2017” and the awards ceremony for the best workers of the industry. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on Conferring the Title of the Merited Carpet Weaver of Turkmenistan, stressing that the country will be celebrating the Turkmen Carpet Day on the upcoming Sunday, and congratulated the workers of the industry. The head of state appointed Sh.Meretliyev Acting Chairman of Turkmenhimiya State Concern and released him from the duties of the Deputy Chairman. By the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, D.Ashirmammedov was appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Concern. Information has been presented on the International Conference “Science, Technology and Innovative Technologies in the Epoch of Might and Happiness” and the awards ceremony for the winners of the junior research contest dedicated to the Science Day. The first decade of June will be marked with the final tour of the creative contest “Talyp Joshguny–2017”. On the occasion of the 100-day countdown to the start of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, the meeting for the participants of the horse relay and the international media forum “Asiada in the World Press” are scheduled to be held in Mary. Within the Asian Football Cup qualifiers, Dashoguz will host the match between the national teams of Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain. During the Culture Week traditionally dedicated to the Day of Culture and Art Workers, performances by creative groups, singers and musicians; poetry nights; and the premiere of the opera production “Ruhubelentler” will be held in the capital of the country. Information has been presented on the progress of agricultural works: care for cotton fields; inter-row cultivation of seedlings; additional mineral fertilization works continue. The State Commission is established for Grain Harvesting – 2017. Report has been submitted on the preparation for the World Environment Day that will be marked with the International Environmental Forum, and the session of the Interstate Commission on Sustainable Development of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea to be hosted by Ashgabat on 5-8 June. The session of the Board of Governors of the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia, and the regular meeting of the Regional Working Committee that comprises water management specialists from the Central Asian countries are scheduled to be held as well. It has been reported that preparations are underway for the upcoming Energy Charter Forum “Towards a Multilateral Framework Agreement on Transit of Energy Resources” and the International Energy Media Forum to be hosted by Ashgabat on 30-31 May. In addition, the annual training seminar of the Energy Charter is scheduled for 1-2 June. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on Appointing the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Moscow), B.Niyazliyev, concurrently the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Slovenia. The head of state also signed the Order on Convening on 1-2 June in Ashgabat the 49th session of the Special Working Group on Drawing up the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea at the level of Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Caspian States. At the session, reports have been presented on the drafting of several bills to be reviewed at the regular session of the parliament; and on the drawing up of the State Anti-Corruption and Bribery Program in accordance with the recommendations of the head of state. Several other issues pertaining to the state affairs have also been reviewed, and relevant resolutions adopted.
