The President of Turkmen State addressed the compatriots with greetings on occasion of International Children Day. This International holiday received special importance in our country, symbolizing adherence of Turkmenistan to fundamental principles of the United Nations in children’s rights and interests as well as active care of the young generation, - President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov says in his message. Modern social and cultural facilities are opened, concerts popularizing Turkmenistan as a country of health and inspiration and as a country of happy childhood, are held in honour of this day. Songs about peace and friendship, music and careless children laughter sound; funny performances, creative and sports competitions are organized in Ashgabat, Avaza National tourist zone, Gyokdere as well as in velayats’ centres, all the cities and villages. Provision of harmonic, physical, intellectual, moral and social development of young generation, the future of our country, is a guarantee of the stability of the State foundations, - the message mentions. In this context, provision of quality education to the youth, patriotic, physical and ethical education is a priority of the state policy. For this purpose, national programmes and comprehensive reforms aimed at provision of prosperous life of mothers and children, all-round development and education of growing generation on the basis of national and universal spiritual values, are implemented in the country. Resort and entertainment centres are made for healthy development of young citizens. Kindergartens, schools and sports facilities provided with top modern equipment, multimedia technologies, necessary training, and technical aids are built all around the country. Centres of mother and child health protection present specialized services of international level. The State renders concrete social and economic support to such category of the citizens. All of these is a visual evidence of the scale of work in this direction. Special attention is paid in the country to improvement of the efficiency and expansion of multilateral partnership with the countries of the planet, large international and regional organizations. Health protection of young citizens, provision of education and upbringing on the basis of universal moral values and democratic principles, protection of rights and interests of women and children are most important aspects of this cooperation. Our country successfully collaborates with the United Nation’s Children Fund. Turkmenistan joined the World Declaration on the Survival, Protection and Development of Children, the UN Convention on Child Rights, the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. This proves the fact that Turkmenistan approach the fulfilment of undertaken obligations with all responsibility, - the President’s message highlights. Joint seminar and meetings are held under productive cooperation with the World Health Organization and the UN Children Fund. Appointment of our country to Executive Board of the UN Children Fund for 2018 – 2020 as well as to the Commission on Women Status for 2018 – 2020 are the real outcomes of successful partnership of Turkmenistan with the UN.
