In Ashgabat, there was a meeting in the context of addressing the priorities set by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov before institutions and structures of the financial, economic and banking sectors, as well as the results of their work for five months of this year. These tasks were determined during the yesterday meeting held by the Head of the state with participation of relevant leaders, where special attention was also paid to priority aspects of improving the activities of the above-mentioned spheres. At today's meeting, it was reported on the importance of ensuring the implementation of the state budget, the balanced and rational use of financial resources, increasing the effectiveness of steps to fully support entrepreneurship, small and medium-sized businesses. The need to deepen diversification and strengthen the competitiveness of the economy, increase the export potential, import substitution, privatization of the state property and transformation enterprises into joint-stock companies was noted. The emphasis was made on the fact that, given the current realities, there is a need for radical reform of the domestic tax system, as well as taking effective measures to further modernization of the financial and banking-credit spheres based on the active introduction of new methods and advanced technologies.
