A telephone conversation took place between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. The head of the Russian government warmly and cordially congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his 60th birthday and wished him good health, prosperity and new outstanding successes in his ambitious activities in the highest state post. Dmitry Medvedev expressed special gratitude to the Turkmen leader for his personal assistance in the progressive development of friendly relations between Russia and Turkmenistan. Thanking for the congratulations and good wishes, the Head of State noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, which has reached a qualitatively new level in recent years. The sides noted the positive role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation, the participation of Russian companies in the implementation of large-scale projects in Turkmenistan, and called for further stimulation of scientific, educational and cultural contacts. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited Dmitry Medvedev to take part in the opening ceremony of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
