President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Extending sincere wishes to President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on his 60th birthday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev wished the Turkmen leader excellent health, a long and happy life, and success in his versatile activities as President of the country. Appreciative of the warm birthday wishes, the President of Turkmenistan has sent best wishes to the fraternal people of Uzbekistan. During the telephone conversation, the Presidents of the two neighboring countries exchanged opinions on key aspects of Turkmen-Uzbek partnership. The parties noted the positive dynamics of interstate cooperation in the context of agreements and long-term plans, worked out during the summit meetings and talks in the cities of Ashgabat and Turkmenbashi. The heads of two countries recognized the presence of prospects for building on the partnership in all areas on a bilateral and multilateral basis; exchanged opinions on vital regional and international issues. Presidents Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev have also spoken for promoting the scientific-educational and cultural contacts, and enhancing cooperation in sport and tourism. The President of Turkmenistan renewed his invitation to his Uzbek counterpart to attend the opening ceremony of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
