Turkmen sambo wrestlers won eleven medals of the Asian championships

by Turkmen sportsmen during the Asian sambo and combat sambo championships which pass these days in the capital of Uzbekistan - Tashkent. Muminjan Arzikulov (with a weight category under 62 kg) and Lale Nuryeva (under 72 kg) ascended the higher step of the podium. Vice-champions became: Amina Niyazov (under 44 kg), Tavus Geldimyradova (under 56 kg) and Babajan Ivadullaev (under 100 kg). Bronze awards were secured by Allanur Charyev (under 52 kg), Parahat Bashimov (under 82 kg), Narmyrat Tannyrberdiev (under 90 kg), Redzhepnur Agaev (under 57 kg), Dovletmyrat Cheppeyeva (under 74 kg) and Mahri Akmyradova (under 60 kg). We should remind that sambo-wrestling is included in the program of the 5th Asian indoor and martial arts games. Therefore, the current achievement of Turkmen sportsmen very eloquently testifies to their readiness for the main competitions of this year.
