President of Turkmenistan, Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov held a meeting of the State Security Council. The agenda included the discussion of work results accomplished by subordinate military and law-enforcement bodies over the first half of 2017. Among the considered issues – enhancing security and peace in the independent state, further strengthening of the force structure’s material-technical base. The meeting identified priority tasks for the near-term outlook, and selected practical steps to facilitate their effective solution. Heads of military and law-enforcement bodies reported on the January-June work, and also measures taken on strengthening the country’s defensive potential, improving the service and social conditions of the Homeland valiant defenders, increasing the prestige of military specialties. The reports also contained the information about guarding of land and maritime boundaries. The reports’ topics were steps undertaken for the prevention of road accidents and fire safety control, drug interdiction. It was reported on improving the national judicial system. There was an information about the steps taken to oversee the implementation of the country’s legal acts, maintenance of security, activities of customs and migration services, the work on new draft laws, as well as activities to clarify the existing regulatory legal acts to the population. Referring to the members of the State Security Council, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov emphasized that, on September 12, 2016, by the Resolution of Mejlis, it was adopted a decision on establishing the Judiciary Workers Day on July 5. The leader of nation congratulated all courts’ personnel on their professional holiday. During the meeting, the nation’s leader appointed Sh. Garaev as Deputy Attorney General, also signed a number of appropriate personnel documents. The President of Turkmenistan handled Director of Economic Crime State Service M. Chakyev a completion diploma and a badge of academic faculty for high-ranking officers under the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces, Army General Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov o defined the main work directions of power structures for near-term outlook, and emphasized the importance of proper preparation for the upcoming 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. The Turkmen capital will host numerous guests who will come to participate in them. Every serviceman’s duty is to keep ward of the legal state system and irreconcilably struggle against any lawlessness and crimes, strengthening the foundations of peace and stability in the country, prosperity and dormancy of the citizens, the leader of nation said. The state takes care of servicemen and their families. Comprehensive measures are implemented to create the necessary conditions for improving the social and living conditions, good rest, diligent service for valiant defenders of the Homeland. Activities in this direction would continue to pursue, the national leader noted, underlining that employees of these bodies would be constantly under the state’s wardship.
