The growth rate of the gross domestic product in Turkmenistan for the first half of 2017 was 6.4 percent. This was stated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at an extended meeting of the government. According to him, the revenues of the State Budget have increased, which allowed to increase the average wage by 9 percent, and the national currency - manat - remains stable in the given parameters. A large-scale construction of industrial and social facilities is underway, today about 1,900 large objects worth nearly 47 billion US dollars are being built in the country. Of these, almost 1800 objects are built by domestic construction companies. 59 large facilities and residential houses, including high-level increased comfort apartment blocks, with a total area of 632,500 square meters were commissioned in the first half of this year in Turkmenistan. The cost of these facilities is about 2 billion US dollars.
