Ashgabat hosted a regional seminar on the efficiency of drug prevention national programmes. Representatives of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan as well as UNODC Expert Hanna Heikkila (Austria) and Regional Coordinator Nadeem Rehman (Iran) arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the meeting. Those speaking during the forum highly evaluated the work on drug abuse prevention, popularization of healthy life-style and sports among youth carried out in Turkmenistan. It was also emphasized that successes achieved by our country and its active position in solution of regional and global problems had determined the venue for the meeting.
