Cotton growers of Turkmenistan will start collecting ""white gold"" on August 30 this year. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, instructed the vice-premier on agriculture E.Orazgeldiev at a government meeting. On this day, cotton harvesting will begin in Akhal, Lebap and Mary velayats and in the northern region - Dashoguz - a week later, on September 6. 156 procurement stations are ready to receive the harvest and 38 cotton-cleaning enterprises will process the raw material into cotton fiber. In total in 2017 the state order for cotton production is 1 million 50 thousand tons.
