Telephone conversation took place between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Emir of Qatar SHaeikh Tamim Bib Hamad Al Thani. Having warmly greeted each other, the leaders of two countries expressed the delight to discuss priority issues of Turkmen – Qatari relations in private talk. Having stated with delight high level of traditional interstate dialog, the heads of Turkmenistan and Qatar highlighted the presence of considerable potential for further development of beneficial partnership and the willingness of the sides to implement it for the common sake. Taking an opportunity, the Emir of the State of Qatar congratulated Turkmen leader with success of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat in September, which was deserving contribution of Turkmenistan to international and Olympic movement. Having expressed the gratitude for warm words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan pays large attention to cooperation in sport sphere and intends to improve fruitful contacts that promote consolidation of friendship and understanding between the states and the nations. Later in the conversation, the sides discussed the perspectives of Turkmen – Qatari partnership in its key directions under implementation of the agreements and future plans achieved earlier. Having highlighted that important role in bilateral relations is given to trade and economic relations, the leaders of two countries noted the importance of traditional humanitarian and cultural contacts and spoke for their filling with new specific content. During the conversation, the sides exchanged the opinions of number of topical issues of regional and global agenda that present mutual interest. In this regard, invariable commitment of both states to efficient cooperation under competent international organizations and structures was highlighted. Having expressed the confidence that constructive interstate dialog, which is built on the best traditions of friendship and resting on goodwill of both sides, would be comprehensively improved, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani wished health and success to each other and prosperity to people of both countries.
