Enterprises of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan saw a 36.3 percent increase (from last year) in the output of industrial products in the running year’s January-September period. The production of agricultural and food products in the private sector rose by 42.6 percent. The Union’s trade turnover grew in parallel – its total volume increased by 7.5 percent from last year. The services sector achieved even higher growth rates - 12.8 percent. The outstripping growth rate of value added in the services sector led to an increase in its share in GDP from 41.3 percent in the January-July period of 2016 to 43.8 percent in the same period of 2017.
