President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed his greetings to the participants of I Turkmen – Chinese scientific and innovative forum that has opened in Turkmen capital. “We support joint initiatives on mastering of advanced practice and new knowledge in innovative sphere including training of highly qualified personnel and express interest in expansion of cooperation in this field. In this context, I am confident that current scientific and innovative forum will be successful and on high organizational level, - the message of the Head of the State says. China is one of the most important strategic partners of Turkmenistan. Taking into account new realities of the world development, national interests and priorities of social and economic growth of both countries, Turkmen – Chinese dialog in political, economic, energy, agricultural, transport and communication and other spheres has received steadfast dynamics, - the message mentions. The aim of our states is to direct our economic, cultural and natural potential to provide the interests of both nations, universal progress, peace and prosperity. The Great Silk Road, while being the symbol of peace, friendship and good-neighbourliness, stability and prosperity, is implemented today in such large-scale projects as Turkmenistan – China gas line and Kazakhstan – Turkmenistan – Iran international railroad. The People’s Republic of China develops rapidly and occupies leading positions in the world in science and high technologies. In this regard, cooperation in innovation sphere is one of the most important directions of versatile Turkmen – Chinese relations. Today, many countries in the world including Turkmenistan pay special attention to introduction of modern technologies. Our country steadily consolidates its positions in the world economy relations by industrialization and modernization of national economy, establishment of innovative industrial enterprises producing wide range of competitive goods. This rapid growth is closely related to the level of scientific and technical progress, new opportunities that open due to innovations and information technologies. We steadily consolidate the cooperation with large international organizations and foreign scientific centres, - the message says. Structural departments of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan like the Technology Centre, Institute of Chemistry, Institute of Solar Energy, Institute of Seismology and Physics, Institute of Biology and Medicinal Plants, Institute of Livestock Breeding and Veterinary have established efficient scientific contacts with the Department of Science and Technology of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the PRC, the Centre of Scientific, Technology and Innovative Cooperation of the Asian – European Forum, Chinese – European Institute of Clean and Renewable Energy. I am confident that these relations are new step toward the consolidation of Turkmen – Chinese dialog. All of these support steadfast social and economic development of Turkmenistan and the People’s Republic of China based on active implementation of advanced achievements of science and technologies as well as serves as a bright evidence of turning Turkmenistan into one of the strong, stably developing states, its successful integration to global scientific space, - the message of the President highlights”.
