At the past week-end names of winners of competitions in sports climbing in discipline ""speed climbing"" became known. The tournament organised by the State Sports Committee of Turkmenistan jointly with the khyakimlik of Archabil etrap of the capital, it took place at the climbing wall on the slopes of the Markou in the Kopet Dagh. It is already the second championship for the current year: in spring competitions in this sport in discipline ""lead climbing"" was held. Teams took part in the present championship from different regions of the country. Sportsmen competed in as much as possible fast passage of lines. Finalists were defined during two selection stages. They became eight climbers from the men's team and four – from the female team. The weather favoured achievement of participants of the best results. The final line became the most extended - about 50 metres on the almost vertical rock. Among men representatives of the team of Balkan velayat Merdan Jumayev became winner, he surmounted the line of the climbing wall for 45,54 seconds. It helped him to lead in ""all-round events"" results of which will be summed up on completion of tournaments in three disciplines of rock-climbing (past ones ""lead climbing"" and ""speed climbing"" and upcoming - ""bouldering""). In the second place is sportsman from Ashgabat Lev Belsky (55,49 seconds). One more representative of the Balkan team Bayram Geldinazarov with result of 57,52 seconds secured third place. The final line in the female category was a little shorter. As a result the entire podium was taken by Ashgabat sportswomen. Anastasiya Aysin, confidently leading within the whole extent of competitions, overcome the line for 59,39 seconds. ""Silver"" went to the debutant of competitions - Vlad Omelchenko and the third place to the repeated prize-winner of championships and cups of the country Nadji Kostova. The season of sports climbing in Turkmenistan will continue with the national championship in discipline ""bouldering"".
