At the end of the parade on the occasion of Independence Day, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov handed the state award to the leaders of military and law enforcement agencies - the medal ""Mälikguly Berdimuhamedow"". Addressing the members of the State Security Council, the Turkmen leader congratulated all on the 26th anniversary of the country's independence and wished good health and success in their responsible work to ensure the country's prosperity and the peaceful and happy life of the people. Having reported about his decision for special services to the Fatherland and the people, the impeccable fulfillment of the duty to strengthen the state's defense capability, ensure security and public order, combat crime, and also on the occasion of Independence Day award the military and law enforcement officials with the medal ""Mälikguly Berdimuhamedow"", the President of Turkmenistan gave the floor to the Secretary of the State Security Council, Defense Minister Ya. Berdiyev, who read out a document, according to which awards were rewarded. Expressing the deep gratitude to the Head of the state for high confidence and honor, for his unflagging attention to the issues of improving the activities of the military and law enforcement agencies, the gathered assured that they would continue to make every effort to successfully solve the important and responsible tasks that face them. Congratulating the awardees, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces expressed confidence that this award would inspire them to new achievements. The President also instructed to present appropriate state awards to the distinguished workers of the military and law enforcement agencies in the second half of the day, in a solemn atmosphere.
