GDP of Turkmenistan for 10 months of 2017 has increased by 6.4 percent. In industry this figure made up 3.9 percent, construction – 2.9 percent, transport and communication sector – 11.1 percent, trade – 9.8 percent, agriculture – 4.9 percent and in the service sector – 9.7 percent. In comparison with the last year’s similar period, the production growth rate over the January-October period increased by 6.3 percent. The volume of retail turnover compared to the corresponding period of 2016 increased by 18 percent. Summarizing the results of the current year’s first ten months, an average monthly salary increased by 8.9 percent. Wages, public welfare payment, pensions and scholarships were paid in full and a timely manner.
