On February 9, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov conducted a regular working video-selector meeting with participation of khyakims of velayats and Ashgabat city. First speaker, Ashgabat city’s khyakim R. Nurmammedov reported on the implementation progress of the current activities, the ongoing measures aimed at the capital’s improvement and keeping it clean, the work on upgrading its social infrastructure, especially in newly established Archabil etrap, and creating green zones in the city and its outskirts. The President of Turkmenistan assigned to accelerate the work on the capital’s further improvement and landscaping. The head of state placed special emphasis on the need to keep constant control over the activity of administrative bodies and service-rendering enterprises in the new etrap, as well as construction of buildings and infrastructure facilities. Next speaker, Akhal velayat khyakim M. Nurmammedov informed about the ongoing work, the results of the measures taken to fulfill the presidential assignments on planting trees, carrying out the agro-technical operations in farmlands of the region, about the construction progress of social- and cultural-purpose objects in the velayat, as well as ensuring of their timely and high-quality completion. Touching upon the issue of supplying fertilizers, irrigation water and high-quality seeds to farmers, the head of state gave a number of commissions on timely taking all the agro-technical measures, growing different kinds of fruit and vegetable crops. Having focused on the situation at sites of the objects under construction in the velayat within the framework of the National Rural Development Program, the President of Turkmenistan underlined the necessity of increasing the pace of construction works. The video report of Balkan velayat khyakim B. Hojamammedov covered fulfillment of the assignments given earlier by the head of state on mass tree-planting works in the velayat, and especially in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone, the steps taken in accordance with the program worked out to prepare for the Elders’ Council, as well as the farmland treatment operations aimed to timely and efficiently organize the spring sowing. Having commissioned to take a scientific approach to the tree-planting campaign, the leader of nation recommended planting more fruit trees along with coniferous species in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone and other parts of the region. President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov gave the khyakim a number of instructions on ensuring well-coordinated work of the relevant bodies aimed to efficiently organize the start of spring farming operations and increase the volumes of fruit, vegetable and other agricultural crops. After examining the presented location maps of would-be social- and cultural-purpose objects, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the necessity of taking a responsible approach to their construction, given ecological requirements. The state of current affairs in the velayat, preparations for the tree-planting campaign in etraps of the northern region, as well as for the spring field works, the implementation progress of the objects under construction, the realization course of the National Rural Development Program were in the focus of the report made by Dashoguz velayat khyakim E. Joraev centered his video report on the state of affairs in the eastern region, preparations for the tree-planting, the agri-works ongoing in farmlands of the velayat, the measures taken to ensure high-quality construction and commissioning of the objects erected in the velayat within the framework of the National Rural Development Program. After the report, the nation’s leader entrusted the khyakim to put the preparations for the spring planting campaign on the fast track, to improve the provision of farmers with necessary resources, to take all due measures for the timely and efficient cotton sowing campaign. The head of state also gave khyakim a number of commissions on increasing the volumes of fruit, vegetable and other agricultural crops in the velayat, as well as implementing the National Rural Development Program. Then, Mary velayat khyakim B. Annagurbanov reported on the situation in the region, preparations for the spring tree-planting season, as well as the preparatory activities aimed at ensuring the well-organized launch of the sowing campaign, the measures taken to improve social conditions of the population in the velayat, to speed up the pace of construction of various-purpose facilities, erected in the framework of the National Rural Development Program. Having focused on the need to ensure a high organizational level of the tree-planting work in Mary velayat, the President of Turkmenistan assigned the khyakim to exercise strict control over the issues of supplying farmers with fertilizers, irrigation water, and high-quality seeds, and implementing the agro-technical measures for the well-timed cotton sowing. The head of state gave special consideration to the issue of taking adequate steps aimed at growing fruit, vegetable and other agricultural crops in the region. President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov addressed the khyakim a number of instructions on ensuring a high organizational level of the cultural events to be held on the occasion of the announcement of Mary city the cultural capital of the Turkic World in 2015.
