On February 10, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, who had arrived in the Turkmen capital as the head of his country’s representative delegation to participate in the Exhibition of Export Goods of Turkey. During the meeting, the leader of nation and his guest exchanged views on topical areas of the Turkmen-Turkish cooperation, based on the successful long-term partnership. In this context, the parties have noted the availability of good prospects for the expansion of bilateral trade turnover, promotion of investment activity, realization of new joint projects in various spheres. Regular specialized exhibitions and business forums also play a significant role, as a very effective factor of deepening and diversifying the mutually beneficial contacts between business communities of Turkmenistan and Turkey. A regular business forum to be held in the frames of the Turkmen leader’s upcoming visit to the Republic of Turkey is destined to serve these goals as well. Having stressed the Turkmen market’s high prospectiveness, conditioned by the favorable investment climate created in the country, Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his sincere appreciation to the head of state for his constant attention to the issues of the Turkmen-Turkish trade and economic cooperation development. As noted, the composition of participants in the exhibition, which features different types of export goods produced by Turkish manufactures, serves as eloquent confirmation of Turkish companies’ readiness to continue taking an active part in the implementation of the large-scale development programs and projects carried out in Turkmenistan on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov.
